As many of you know I made my brother a wallet a while back that had the same saying on it. As man of you also know I’m trying to practice tooling a bit for the gorgeous bag I’ve started working on as I feel that I need to up my game a bit to […]
This is almost a duplicate of an earlier project but with a few tiny (not that you’d notice) improvements. It’s a copy of the brown belt I made with the pull-up leather but this one is for my brother. I still have enough of this leather to make 3-5 more belts so if you want […]
Good to know that the drunk monkey sewing squad it’s always in force. Basically the same as the natural billfold I did earlier but this time I used antique paste to give it a snazzy brown colour. I also put my initials on it. Why? Why not?!?!
Well Kelley had mentioned that she like having a tassel on her bag so I made one out of the same leather that we had made her bag from. Have I mentioned I hate snake knots? But I’m getting better at them and they are cool, and useful for tying things off.
So as much as Kelley enjoyed the tote bag I made it wasn’t enough for her. . .not the right dimensions, no zipper, not the right handles blah blah blah blah *smack*. Okay I kid, she loved it but she did want to try her own hand, had some ideas, and a pic she’d seen […]
This was one that I saw on a leather worker forum I belong to and the fellow was kind enough to upload a pattern for cutting the leather so I thought I’d try it out. I used that red-brown pull up leather for this. It’s pretty simple, cut, add zipper, enjoy handiwork.
We have some issues with the Misonator pulling at the leash and we’ve been working and it’s been getting better but she still insist a bit. We’ve tried a few things like a slip lead but I’m thinking this is a better choice. So we shall see how it works. Also if you want one […]
I don’t tend to do a lot of tooling which I know is a bit odd for a leather worker, mostly I enjoy the assembly process and the engineering challenges. However I’d like to start tooling more. The other big issue with tooling products for customers is that you’ll never get your money back from […]
I was busy running around buying things today, specifically a side of Wickett & Craig English Bridle Leather in chestnut. . . sexy. It’s going to become a gorgeous bag in the next few weeks so keep tuned. That won’t be a project itself but I’ll make sure to post some lovely pics. As a […]
This was made specifically to work with our collars that come with a d-ring on the back, it also works very well with our multi-way leash. If you’re looking for more close-up control of your dog this is a great way to go. Plus I love bleed knots.
