Huh? Well the truth folks is that I competed at a powerlifting meet today, I don’t have any advance projects saved up and dammit I earned a rest. So instead you get a pic of me. My lifts (in pounds) were: Squat: 505, 551, 606 all good Bench: 205, 430, 441 all good Dead: 505, […]
Here’s the finish of the hairdressing holster, at this point it was simply assembling all the snazzy pieces! First I had to sew the two pieces together for the back, this allows for more strength as well as keeping the grain side (pretty side) of the leather out all over. Then sew down the first […]
I spent quite a bit of time on these the last two days so I’m going to break it up and use this as today’s project. Tomorrow I’ll assemble them and then you can see the finale! First I had to throw a straight edge on the side I purchased. Then cut out all the […]
I have an order for some hairdressing holsters and one of them is coming with a matching grommet belt. This one is particularly nice as I picked up some skirting from Moore-Pearsal in 4-5 oz. Which is perfect for the holsters, however for the belt it’s too thin so I had to double it up. […]
This is yet another continuation of the weekender. Today we stitched it all right side to right side and put in the bunny ears to give it shape. We also installed the d-rings at the bottom that will help hold the top ears down.
This one was a materials test. We have a snazzy ink pad full of archival ink that’s supposedly good for leather so we decided to try it out. However since I know I want to dye the leather as well as stamp it in some cases I took the opportunity to try a few variations. […]
We’ve been working on this bag a while and it’s almost done! Today was quite a bit of working and after the wedding we’re attending tomorrow we hope to finish it up! Or possibly Monday. . . wedding and all. I’m still amazed by how well we managed to colour match the pockets!
These are the bodies and lids for Kelley’s bags, the only parts missing are the back panel of the bag and all the hardware that has to sew to that. This weekend we will finish sewing them all together and you’ll get to see the final results! First I had to cut out the pieces […]
I’m working on some saddlebags for Kelley’s bike and we’re doing them as throw-overs. She wants them to be quick release so she can use them as luggage when we arrive places and so this is the throw-over with zip release. I started by cutting the pieces and punching the holes for lacing. The lacing […]
Kelley decided she didn’t really like the white strap her watch had so she made a gorgeous brown one! It’s her first strap so there’s a bit of a learning curve and definite improvements to be made for next time but over all it turned out pretty damn sexy. The original Tracing it out Me […]
